Pioneer Days Car Show
Capsules
- Started in 1985 with Mike Rigsby of RIGSBY PERFORMANCE, Lima, Ohio. (Mike had been doing Shows since 1981 at other venues before coming to Pioneer Days.)
- The Show is FREE to all spectators. This is unique to other Car Shows and it is
held right on the streets which is also different than most Car Shows. Spectators
have been numbering in the thousands. It is held in conjunction with the Annual Pioneer
Days Celebration held in the streets of Kalida, Ohio.
- Over 300 entries from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.
-Approx. 30 classes with all judging done by the participants. Awards go to 1st,
2nd, & 3rd place in each class. Classes include Street Rods, Customs, Antiques,
Stocks, Trucks, Motorcycles, and Specialty Vehicles. Every participant also receives
a special dash plaque commemorating the Show.

WOL Sprint Car and an IROC Dodge Race Car.

- The
special Pioneer Days Car Show Tee-Shirts are designed by Steve Stanford
from California. Steve has designed for Hot Rod; Car Craft; and Rod & Custom
magazines and has designed album covers for such recording artists as the
Cars and ZZ-Top.
